The People and Places of Paris
Most of the photographs in this gallery were made with either a 35mm or a 50mm lens. I never use a "long" lens for my pictures of people. Those few pictures made with other focal lengths are so marked in the caption. Photos made with a digital rangefinder camera are indicated with (DG).

At the Metro stop Abbesses. The station's entrance, which was designed by Hector Guimard, is one of only two original Guimard entrances left in Paris. This entrance was originally used for the Hôtel de Ville metro station, but was moved to its current location in 1970.
